Two Sides

A Side

The girl looked out of the classroom window, the rain outside reflecting in her bright green eyes. She held up her cellphone and stared at the text.
Why is she texting me?
She closed her cellphone and slipped it into her pocket.
The phone vibrated again but this time she ignored it. She ran her hand through her long golden hair.
“You can go now,” the teacher said.
The girl slowly got up from her desk, grabbed her backpack, and walked out the door.

Another Side

The girl looked out of the classroom window, the rain outside reflected in her blue eyes. She held up her cellphone and stared at it.
Why isn’t she replying?
She opened up her cellphone and began typing, her thumbs moving quickly, making slight ticking sounds.
She closed the phone and ran a hand through her long black hair.
“You can go now,” the teacher said.
The girl got up from her desk, grabbed her backpack, and darted out of the door.
